NONPROFIT SERVICES

Inspire and Empower Communities Through Acts of Kindness

At Acts of Kidness, our nonprofit services are driven by one core mission: bringing young people together to inspire change and create meaningful connections through acts of kindness. We believe that even the smallest actions can make a lasting impact, and through regular meetups, our selected student members work collaboratively on service projects that benefit our community in countless ways.

Regular Meetups, Lasting Impact

Our students gather regularly to brainstorm, plan, and carry out meaningful service projects. Whether it’s lending a hand at local events, connecting with those in need, or brightening someone’s day with a small but powerful gesture, these meetups are where ideas take flight and kindness becomes action.

Out in the Community

We’re proud to lead projects that directly impact the spaces and people around us. From supporting Special Olympics teams to organizing park clean-up days, our members take pride in making their community a better place. Imagine the joy of a medallion hunt bringing families together outdoors or the transformation of a public space after a day of dedicated service—these are the moments we create, together.

The Power of Gratitude: Writing Thank Yous

When was the last time you received a thank-you card? Chances are, it made you smile. At Acts of Kidness, we know the value of expressing gratitude. That’s why our members regularly write thank-you notes to individuals, businesses, and organizations that make a difference. It’s a simple yet powerful act that reminds us all of the importance of being seen and appreciated.

Brightening Lives: Projects for Seniors and Newcomers

Acts of Kidness students are committed to bringing joy to everyone, especially those who may need it most. We create thoughtful care packages and projects for seniors in our community, from personalized notes to fun activities that remind them they are valued. We also welcome newcomers by assembling care packages for new students and families in our area. These simple yet thoughtful gestures ease transitions and ensure that everyone feels they belong.

Special Initiatives and Creative Ideas

The heart of Acts of Kidness lies in the creativity of our members. From crafting decorations for community events to hosting inclusive activities that bring people together, there’s no limit to the ways we spread kindness. Every meetup sparks a new idea, and every project reinforces our commitment to making the world a better place, one small act at a time.

Acts of Kidness celebrates and empowers young changemakers who spread kindness through meaningful community service projects.

ACTS OF KIDNESS LLC

Expanding Kindness, One Opportunity at a Time

Welcome to Acts of Kidness LLC, the for-profit arm of Acts of Kidness, where we channel our passion for spreading kindness into innovative programs that benefit both individuals and organizations. We’re excited to share a few of the concepts we’re currently developing to broaden the reach of kindness in our community:

After-School Programming

We’ve always dreamed of providing younger children with more opportunities to give back. That’s why we’re expanding our efforts to introduce after-school programming at the elementary level. These programs engage kids in community service projects, instilling the values of empathy and civic responsibility early on. Starting in schools across the metro area, we aim to cultivate a lifelong love of helping others in the youngest members of our community.

Kindness Curriculum in Schools

Imagine a world where doing good becomes part of a student’s education! We’re partnering with schools to create a kindness curriculum that not only nurtures compassion but also provides high school students with the chance to earn elective credits. This program empowers young people to engage in meaningful community service, fostering a generation of thoughtful, community-minded leaders.

Kindness Workshops for Families

Create workshops designed for families to participate in together. These sessions can focus on practical ways to incorporate acts of kindness into daily life, fostering stronger family bonds while teaching children the importance of compassion and community involvement.

Corporate Training

Kindness knows no age limit, and we believe it can thrive in every environment, including the workplace. Acts of Kidness LLC offers corporate training designed to bring acts of kindness into your organization. Whether it’s a team-building event or a company-wide initiative, we’d love to collaborate with you to create memorable experiences that inspire and unite your team while making a positive impact in the community.

ABOUT US

Our Motivations and Impact

Founded by the Hawk family in Minnetonka, MN, Acts of Kidness was born out of our deep involvement in the community and our belief in the power of kindness. As parents raising children who value compassion and volunteering, we noticed a gap—there weren’t programs celebrating and fostering acts of kindness the same way sports and other activities celebrate achievement. Inspired by the dedication families pour into travel sports, we asked: "Why not create something similar for the kindest kids?" A place where kids who go above and beyond—whether volunteering, helping their peers, or making their schools and neighborhoods better—are recognized and celebrated just like any sport or skill.

Andrew is a student at Minnetonka Public Schools. He’s known for being a fun-loving, friendly, and intuitive young learner.
